As many of you know, Pennsylvania's highways
WERE the worst in the country. That's right, you
read that correctly, I said were the worst. The latest survey from Overdrive magazine, who bestowed
the Commonwealth with that title from 1990 to 1998, ranks Pennsylvania as having the
second worst behind Louisiana.
Take a trip into the histories of the
highways that help Pennsylvania earn the title of
"Second Worst Roads." Read about the latest survey from the
January
2008 issue where myself and this site were mentioned.
More Rankings: Worst Segment (I-80): second (tie)
Most Improved Segment (I-80): second
Most Available Overnight Parking: third
Best Truck Stops: fourth (tie)

The American Society of Civil Engineers
has come out with their Infrastructure Report Card for 2006 for Pennsylvania.

Just as the political
spotlight shone upon us in April, the hockey spotlight shines
upon us this month as both the Pittsburgh Penguins and
Philadelphia Flyers are facing each other in the NHL's Eastern
Conference Finals. We at Pennsylvania Highways will leave
the trash-talking to the Pittsburgh and Philadelphia divisions,
but hope for a good, well fought series. After all, no
matter who wins, the Commonwealth will be represented in the
Stanley Cup Finals.
