Official State Highway Maps

All of us have used a road map at one time or another.  Whether it was to go from one side of town to the other or from one side of the country to the other.  What some of us do not know is that maps can convey more than what roads are where and the locations of cities.  Maps can depict parts of our history, not only from what is shown on them, but also through their covers.  Below are most of the official state highway maps that Pennsylvania has produced since the state highway system came into existence, which are a part of my map collection.  Without these pieces of history, this site would not be possible.

The years that are not bolded are ones in which no maps were issued.  Where there are bolded years, but no cover, are maps I do not have in my collection.
