"S" curve north of Kirkwood. This section opened in 1968.

In 1932, the section from Strongstown to Tipperary Road was paved. In 1935, the sections from Tipperary Road to Heilwood and from Engle
Road to Clymer were paved.
One of the reasons for its decommissioning
was to not duplicate with then proposed Interstate 480. It became a
moot point when Interstate 80S was changed to Interstate 76, and
Interstate 480 was changed to Interstate 476.
